Initially, NAWB actively promoted integrated education programs for visually impaired children across Nepali schools. With the change of time and the advent of a new concept of inclusive education, the thrust is on inclusive education. This involves extensive participation in school enrollment drives, teacher capacity building, and creating inclusive learning environments. In collaboration with the Government of Nepal, we produce Braille textbooks from grades 1 to 12, provide scholarships to visually impaired students, and supply essential educational materials to the needy ones.

NAWB organized two national workshops in 2016 and 2017 on Unified English Braille-UEB for implementing it in Nepal, which have been executed all over the world. Time-to-time review meetings about UEB are organized to disseminate to all the stakeholders so that it would be easier to peruse English Braille literature of any country.
