- [15-days’ capacity Development training for the Resource Teachers on Braille Refresher and Unified English Braille.](https://nawbnepal.org.np/updates/15-days-capacity-development-training-for-the-resource-teachers-on-braille-refresher-and-unified-english-braille/): From 17th June to 1st July, 2025, NAWB conducted fifteen days- long  training program on Braille Refresher and  Unified English Braille to resource and visually impaired teachers of 10 integrated schools with BVI children at Koshi province so as to build-up their braille and overall  teaching capacity. In the training facilitated by lead facilitators Mr. Homnath Aryal and Mr. Lok Bahadur Gurung, 20 teachers had made their participation. Presence of 12 BVI and 8 general teachers including women and persons with disabilities the training was found to be inclusive, disability and gender balanced. - [Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Program](https://nawbnepal.org.np/programs/sexual-reproductive-health-and-rights-srhr-program/): To promote safe and inclusive educational environments, we have implemented SRHR programs in schools and communities. These efforts address bullying, hate speech, discrimination, and sexual and physical abuse of girls with visual impairments and disabilities. - [Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) Program](https://nawbnepal.org.np/programs/disaster-risk-reduction-didrr-program/): NAWB implements disability-inclusive disaster risk reduction programs at local levels, ensuring persons with disabilities are actively involved in disaster preparedness, relief, and rehabilitation efforts. We collaborate with local municipalities to develop disaster response plans, integrate disability representation in disaster management committees and empower self-help groups to mitigate disaster impacts within their communities. - [Braille Library](https://nawbnepal.org.np/services/braille-library/): We have distinct recognition as the sole organization in Nepal with a national Braille library housing over sixteen thousand books, alongside our production of school textbooks and reference materials in Braille. The library books consist of English literature, Nepali literature, and course books for high school, bachelor’s, and master’s levels. Back to Services
- [Low Vision Resource Center](https://nawbnepal.org.np/services/low-vision-resource-center/): Recognizing that not all visual impairments require Braille, our low vision resource center offers optical and non-optical devices for low vision children. Functional tests are conducted in schools to identify cases of low vision, and interventions include the provision of magnifying glasses, headstands, focus lights, eyeglasses, spectacles, and CCTV systems, enhancing learning efficiency for those with low vision.
