NAWB implements disability-inclusive disaster risk reduction programs at local levels, ensuring persons with disabilities are actively involved in disaster preparedness, relief, and rehabilitation efforts. We collaborate with local municipalities to develop disaster response plans, integrate disability representation in disaster management committees and empower self-help groups to mitigate disaster impacts within their communities. We have already established seven SHGs and developed school safety plans for eight integrated schools in far-western provinces.
