Rotary Club of Kasthamandap Support NAWB with Donation for Braille Calendar Printing- year 2083 ( 2026-2027)

Summary

On 17 January 2026, during the 25th Anniversary Ceremony at the Radisson Hotel, a cheque of NPR 50,000 was handed over to support printing the Braille Calendar for B.S. 2083. The cheque was presented to Mr. Pawan Ghimire of NAWB by President Rtn. Prof. Dr. Manohar Lal Shrestha, PDG Shoichi Fuji, and PDG Kazuo Arai. About 500 Braille calendars will be printed and distributed nationwide to visually impaired students and disability organizations to improve access to information and promote independence and inclusion.

On 17 January 2026, during the 25th Anniversary Ceremony held at the Radisson Hotel, a cheque of NPR 50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) was formally handed over to support the printing of the Braille Calendar for B.S. 2083 (2026/2027).

The cheque was presented to Mr. Pawan Ghimire, General Secretary of the Nepal Association for the Welfare of the Blind (NAWB), by President Rtn. Prof. Dr. Manohar Lal Shrestha, PDG Shoichi Fuji (RRFC), and PDG Kazuo Arai.

During the program, Mr. Ghimire expressed his sincere gratitude to Rotary Club of Shimodate, Rotary Club of Hitachi, Rotary Club of Tsuchiura, and Rotary Club of Kasthamandap for their continuous support and cooperation with NAWB in promoting the welfare of people with visual impairments.

He highlighted that the primary purpose of printing the Braille calendar is to facilitate better access to information and communication for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. A total of 500 copies of the Braille calendar will be printed and distributed nationwide to blind and visually impaired students studying in schools, as well as to organizations working in the field of disability support.

This initiative aims to enhance independence, accessibility, and inclusion for visually impaired individuals across Nepal by providing them with essential calendar information in a format they can easily read and use.
